Itinerary
Day by day schedule
- Day 1Arrive Cozumel (CZM). Transfer to the hotel, gear check and dive briefing, welcome dinner with the crew.
- Day 2Two-tank morning charter on the Palancar wall. Optional afternoon or night dive.
- Day 3Santa Rosa wall and Punta Sur drift dives. Afternoon is yours — town, beach, or a third tank.
- Day 4Two to three dives on the crew's own sites, then surface interval and a group dinner.
- Day 5No-fly morning, gear pack-out, and airport transfers.
Packing & Preparation

- Certification card and dive log — digital copies count
- Nitrox cert if you want the free fills
- Mask, computer, and reg if you own them; rentals available otherwise
- 3mm wetsuit or shorty — water runs warm
- Reef-safe sunscreen, SPF shirt, and a dry bag
- Passport valid at least six months past travel
Prep Before You Fly
- Book a refresher dive if you haven't been wet in over a year — briefings move fast.
- Drift diving means the current does the work. Stay off the reef and stay with your buddy.
- Last dive ends the day before your flight. Don't book an early departure and skip the surface interval.
- DAN or equivalent dive insurance is strongly recommended and cheap.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be an advanced diver for this Cozumel trip?
No. Open Water certification is the minimum. The diving is drift diving along a wall, so the current does the work — but if it's been more than a year since your last dive, do a refresher before you fly.
How many dives are included?
Up to 14 dives across the week, run off a private charter boat with Cangrejo Divers. Optional guided night dives are available on top of the daily schedule.
Is this trip only for veterans and military?
It's built for veterans, active duty, and first responders, but spouses and civilian friends are welcome as long as they're certified and can keep up.
What does the $1,595 cover?
Diving, private boat, four nights of boutique hotel lodging, airport transfers, welcome dinner, and onboard lunches. Airfare, gear rental, insurance, and tips are separate.
Is Nitrox really free?
Yes — fills are included at no charge as long as you show a valid Nitrox certification at check-in.
How many spots are there?
Ten divers maximum. Spring break dates fill first, and we lock the roster well before departure.
