Itinerary
Day by day schedule
- Day 1Arrive Bimini by air or ferry. Check in, gear check, safety and shark-behavior briefing.
- Day 2Two open-water shark dives — tigers and great hammerheads on the sand. Afternoon reef dive.
- Day 3Shark dives again with the light shifted, plus a less-publicized site the crew runs. Sunset beach cookout.
- Day 4Surface day. Optional swimming-pigs and sandbar run, then departures — no diving before you fly.
Packing & Preparation

- 3mm wetsuit and dark gloves — no shiny or dangling gear
- Camera with a wrist lanyard, no loose accessories

- Reef-safe sunscreen and a wide-brim hat for surface time
- Motion sickness meds — the ride out is short but exposed
Prep Before You Fly
- Advanced Open Water is strongly recommended; log a refresher if you've been dry six months
- Baited shark dive: briefings are non-negotiable and non-compliance ends your dive day
- Dive insurance is required to get in the water
- No diving within 24 hours of your flight home — the surface day is built for that
- Bring a passport valid 6 months past return for Bahamas entry

Is this dive done in a cage?
No. You kneel on the sand in open water with a baited setup and a resident crew running the animals. Tigers and great hammerheads come inside arm's reach.
What certification and experience do I need?
Open Water minimum, Advanced Open Water strongly recommended, plus recent logged dives and a dive computer. Steady buoyancy matters more than the card on this trip.
What sharks will we actually see?
November in Bimini is tiger and great hammerhead season, with bull sharks, reef sharks and nurse sharks common on the same sites. High probability, never guaranteed.
How safe is a baited shark dive?
Safe when the briefing is followed exactly — position on the sand, hands in, no chasing, no camera pushed at an animal. The crew does this daily and will pull anyone who freelances.

November dates get set around the crew's shark season and boat availability. Get on the list and you'll get the locked dates and pricing before the public sees them.
How do I get to Bimini and are flights included?
Flights and the ferry aren't included. Most people fly into Fort Lauderdale or Miami and take the short hop or fast ferry over. Flight Alerts covers that South Florida leg cheaply.
